RECEIPT PRINTERS

Receipt Printers:
The receipt printer is a device just like any other printer. Receipt printers, when connected to a computer via a cable interface, receive data from the point of sale software application running on the computer. The data is interpreted through the printer’s device driver and subsequently printed.

Providing accurate, readable receipts with each transaction improves the quality and consistency of operations and helps prevent misunderstandings that require costly customer service.
A receipt printer plays an integral role in any POS system, signaling the cash drawer to open when the transaction is completed. There are one or two cash drawer ports on the back of your receipt printer for direct attachment. The receipt printer and Cash Drawers will share a single port on your PC.

Receipt Cutting:Most receipt printers are available with options for either a manual tear bar or an auto cutter for delivering the paper receipt. This is purely a personal preference.
